Full Moon Chronicles

Posted October 26, 2020

‘Tis the season for scary stories! If you like participating in the spooky season, then we have a treat for you. We are adding to our Full Moon Chronicles series with a new chapter. If you haven’t listened to chapter one and chapter two, give those a listen.

Healthcare workers are familiar with the theory of “sundowning” and “full moon chaos”. This story was submitted by a PRN Healthcare nurse during her shift on a full moon night. Enjoy!

Chapter 3: A Dark Shadow

I was in the nurses’ station doing paperwork during a noc shift.

As I looked up to talk to the two CNA’s facing me, I saw a dark shadow walk by.

I quickly looked down and stopped talking.

Were my eyes playing tricks on me?

Looking up again, I saw the dark shadow go by once more.

“Verna what?”, they urged.

I told them what I had seen and they were very frightened.

But I reminded them, “It’s not the dead you need to worry about, it’s the living; the living will hurt you, not the dead.”

The pair did all of the rounds that evening. Together.

It was not the last time the dark shadow was seen.
