Positively Impacting Lives - The Tale of One Recruiter

Posted August 5, 2019

Hi there – I’m excited to introduce myself to all of you! My name is Diane, and I’ve been a recruiter at Nurses PRN for five years. I had been working in the restaurant industry when a friend of mine called to let me know her company was hiring healthcare recruiters. She knew I had a history of working in the medical field and thought this opportunity would be a good fit. I had never heard of per diem or travel nursing, but I knew positively impacting lives was going to fulfill me.

Making a Lasting Difference

When I previously worked in the medical field, I loved connecting with patients and their families. It was so rewarding to help them through tough times and celebrate their successes. I missed feeling like I was positively impacting lives, and that’s one of the reasons why I love my job here. I know the impact that nurses are making in their patients’ lives. If I played a part in bringing them together, then I have succeeded in my role. It is so fulfilling to work with great nurses and match them with top-notch healthcare facilities.

The Nurses PRN Way

What I find to be so unique about working at Nurses PRN is the strong mission and values the company holds. Our mission is to positively impact lives through our nurse first focus, client satisfaction and giving back to our communities. Daily, we find ways to live out our mission and values; whether it is sending one of our nurses flowers on her first day, working with the client to find the most qualified nurse for the position or raising money for Big Brothers Big Sisters – this is the Nurses PRN way.

The Gift That Keeps On Giving

One of my favorite activities that we do as a company is our annual Christmas video. We have a great time coming together and stepping outside of our comfort zones to rehearse and film this video. We believe it brings holiday cheer to our nurses and clients! The gift that keeps on giving is the laughs we have year round remembering back on it…

I didn’t know Nurses PRN was what I was looking for when I wanted to make a career change. But here I am, five years later, looking forward to many more years of positively impacting lives every day.
