Stepdown Registered Nurses take care of patients who have been seriously injured and who are recovering. Stepdown RNs provide a safe and smooth progression from the Intensive Care Unit to the general nursing floors, for both the patients and their family members.
As a Stepdown Nurse your duties consist of:
- Creating a plan of care for the patient while collaborating with other healthcare team members.
- Closely overseeing the care of the patient and take steps to ensure they are stable.
- Preforming patient assessments (pre and post ICU care) and record results.
One year of experience as a Stepdown RN within the past two years.
- Active RN License in good standing.
- Current Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
- Negative Drug Screen.
