Tallahassee, FL is a monumental city for your next nursing position (pun intended!). As the capital of Florida, Tallahassee has a variety of historical spots, a plethora of outdoor attractions and no shortage of unique restaurants to keep you busy when you're not at the hospital. With so much variety in one city, your time away from the hospital is sure to be epic! Let's explore the city together…
If you're looking for a dose of history and a fun excursion all in one, then first on your exploration list should be the Railroad Square Art Park. This 10 acre area was originally used as a lumber yard and later it served as the downtown industrial park. It now functions as a prime tourist location with exclusive shops, restaurants, art galleries and more! After a day of shopping, head over to Crum Box Gastgarden restaurant. Keep your eyes open for a red caboose… once you spot it, you'll know lunch is only a few steps away.
The opulent landscape of Florida must be explored, so when you have free time from the hospital make sure you get out and enjoy the great outdoors. It is highly recommended that you visit Wakulla Springs State Park. You'll find the most beautiful natural landscape, picnic areas, swimming opportunities and even a boat tour of the springs. Bring some of your nursing friends along – you all deserve a little rest and recuperation before another shift.
Whether you take up our recommendations or find other great adventures, Tallahassee will not disappoint. It's time for you to explore the "Sunshine State"!
