A PICU Nurse is responsible for managing the general care of an infant or child with serious medical troubles that require constant supervision. Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurses play a major part in recognizing any changes in the patient’s condition.
As a PICU Registered nurse your duties consist of
- Distributing meds.
- Doing patient checks.
- Completing appropriate procedures as recommended by the physician.
- Ensuring that the patient’s physical and emotional needs are satisfied.
- Performing physicals and testing for diseases.
One year of experience as a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse within the past two years.
- Current Nursing License in good standing.
- Current Basic Life Support through American Heart Association.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
