Job Description

A PICU Nurse is responsible for managing the general care of an infant or child with serious medical troubles that require constant supervision. Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurses play a major part in recognizing any changes in the patient’s condition.

Responsibilities

As a PICU Registered nurse your duties consist of


  • Distributing meds.

  • Doing patient checks.

  • Completing appropriate procedures as recommended by the physician.

  • Ensuring that the patient’s physical and emotional needs are satisfied.

  • Performing physicals and testing for diseases.

Requirements

One year of experience as a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse within the past two years.


  • Current Nursing License in good standing.

  • Current Basic Life Support through American Heart Association.

  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
