You can learn about the city's rich history at the Sixth Floor Museum, dedicated to the John F. Kennedy assassination, or shop in the city with more shopping centers per capita than anywhere in the US. Job Description

The Post Anesthetic Care Unit RN is responsible for the daily care of patients that have just undergone anesthesia during a medical procedure. PACU RNs care for a wide variety of patients, from adults to children and play an vital role in the patient’s recovery.

Responsibilities

As a PACU RN your responsibilities include:


  • Assess the patient’s health status and give medications as needed.

  • Helping patients with personal needs right after their procedure as they are brought back to consciousness.

  • Monitor the vitals of the patient and make certain that no complications arise.

  • Take care of the patients surgical wounds and change dressings as needed.

Requirements

One year of experience as a PACU RN within the past two years.


  • Active RN License in good standing.

  • Up to date BLS through American Heart Association.

  • Negative Drug Screen.
