RNLOCAL PACU

The Post Anesthetic Care Unit RN will be responsible for the daily care of patients that have just undergone anesthesia during a medical procedure. PACU Registered nurses care for a wide variety of patients, from children to adults and play an crucial role in the patient's recovery.

Responsibilities

As a PACU Nurse your responsibilities consist of:
  • Assess the health of the patient and give medications as needed.
  • Assisting patients with personal needs right after their medical procedure as they are brought back to consciousness.
  • Watch the vitals of the patient and make certain that no complications arise.
  • Care for the patients post operation wounds and replace bandages when necessary.

Requirements

One year of experience as a PACU RN within the past two years.
  • Current Nursing License in good standing.
  • Up to date Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
  • Negative Drug Screen.
