The Operating Room Nurse is responsible for assisting surgeons in the operating room. OR RNs will prep the OR and the patient for the procedure and make sure that all equipment is sterile and operating correctly.ResponsibilitiesOR Nurse responsibilities consist of:
Monitoring the health of the patient before, during and after the procedure.
Predict what the surgeons need and hand medical instruments and medical supplies to them during operations.
Collecting and logging all items needed for lab examinations.
RequirementsOne year of experience as an OR Nurse within the past two years.
Active Nursing License in good standing.
Up to date Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
