The OR RN is responsible for assisting surgeons in the operating room. OR Registered Nurses will prep the operating room and the patient for surgery and make sure that all equipment is clean and working properly.
OR Registered Nurse duties include:
- Monitoring the health of the patient before, during and after the operation.
- Anticipate what the surgeons need and give instruments and supplies to them during operations.
- Gathering and tracking the items needed for lab examinations.
One year of experience as an Operating Room Registered Nurse within the past two years.
- Active Nursing License in good standing.
- Up to date BLS from American Heart Association.
- Negative Drug Screen.
