When choosing your next nursing assignment, be sure to choose North Carolina. Nurses love to enjoy a sweet treat where Krispy Kreme Doughnuts were founded and see where air flight first got off the ground at Kitty Hawk. North Carolina is also known as having some of the best and most beautiful beaches in the country. Nurses, be sure to take some time to lay on the beach and soak up some sun, windsurf the waves, or explore the depths of the ocean while scuba diving. All these things are easily enjoyed in North Carolina.
If you love fishing, you need to check out the 1500 lakes and 37,000 miles of fresh water streams that they have to offer. Also, be sure to bring you camera because North Carolina is a state that begs to be photographed. If you would like to enjoy some sports, they have a number of sports teams both professional and college level to enjoy. You have the North Carolina Tar Heels, and the Duke Blue Devils along with the Carolina Panthers in football, and the Carolina Hurricanes in hockey. You have chosen the perfect state for your next nursing adventure. Our travel nurses find North Carolina to be one of the most inviting states - so much to offer, both professionally and leisurely.
Each season brings different events and festivals to enjoy - your nursing assignment will be filled with excitement! During spring, there’s the North Carolina Azalea Festival. Attracting more than 300,000 people each year this festival celebrates North Carolina’s artwork, gardens, history, and culture. You’ll also get to enjoy music, food, a parade, triathlon, and much more. During the fall, be sure to try out some of the best barbeque you’ll find in the country at the Barbeque Festival. Here you’ll get to enjoy entertainment, sporting events, exhibits, and some delicious barbeque. Essentially, North Carolina brings out the best in nurses - a work hard/play hard mentality.
