Missouri is the Show Me state and it truly has a lot of things to show you. While on nursing assignment you'll be able to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities as well as festivals, museums and ice cream cones, where they were first invented. You're time in Missouri starts at the Gateway Arch, where millions of people visit each year. If you need a bit of entertainment there's no place like Branson. They feature something for all ages from theaters, to museums, and even lakes for fishing.
Speaking of fishing, Missouri is also known for their outdoor activities. They have lots of great places to fish, trails for biking, or even some beautiful courses for golfing. After your outdoor activities are over you can visit the historic brew house at the Anheuser-Busch brewery. They even let you visit the famous Clydesdale stables, and best of all the tour is free. If you love sports, Missouri features several different sports teams in a variety of sports. You can watch the St Louis Cardinals, Kansas City Royals, and St Louis Rams to just name a few.
Nurses, if you're looking to visit some events, then you'll have a lot of fun in Missouri. If you love fishing there's no better place to be for the opening day of trout season. It attracts thousands of anglers every year who stand shoulder-to-shoulder along the banks of the Niangua River. If you want a family friendly activity than the Missouri State Fair is the place to be. It's been going on since 1901 and attracts thousands of families in August for its 11 days of events. They feature everything from entertainment to livestock shows to more traditional events that families have been enjoying for a long time. If you're in the mood for some BBQ then the American Royal BBQ Contest, held in Kansas City, is the place to get it. Started in 1980, this contest has grown to now spread over 20 acres and features 500 teams competing in four culinary contests. You could say it's the World Series of Barbecue.
