The formost focus for the Oncology Nurse is to provide care for patients who are diagnosed with various stages of cancer. Oncology Registered Nurses also work with patients that have a greater risk of getting the disease, and present them with preventative techniques.
As an Oncology RN your responsibilities consist of:
- Providing compassion to patients while coaching them on their condition.
- Administering chemotherapy and other necessary medications to the patient.
- Monitoring the patient’s physical and mental condition and making notes of their progress.
One year of experience as a Oncology Registered Nurse within the past two years.
- Active Nursing License in good standing.
- Current BLS from American Heart Association.
- Negative Drug Screen.
