Job Description

ICU RNs must provide top end care for patients with life-threatening medical conditions. Intensive Care Unit RNs must have the ability to make quick and spot on decisions while staying composed during unforeseen, traumatic events.

Responsibilities

ICU Nurses duties consist of:


  • Analyzing the patient’s progress.

  • Following the correct process if there are any changes in the patient’s condition.

  • Assisting doctors with procedures.

  • Making sure all equipment is functioning correctly while caring for patients.

  • Administering needed medication in a fast-paced, highly stressful environment.

  • Providing emotional support while updating family members of current health status of the patient.

Requirements

One year of experience as an ICU Registered Nurse within the past two years.


  • Active RN License in good standing.

  • Up to date Basic Life Support through American Heart Association.

  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
