Appleton is a small city that serves as the friendly cross-section between beautiful parks with miles of waterfront and exciting nightlife and events, making it a great place for a travel nursing contract. It is also home to Nurses PRN's corporate office, so we consider ourselves experts on this energetic city.
Appleton has four distinct seasons with events going on throughout the entire year. The hub of the excitement is downtown Appleton, where there's a plethora of restaurants, bars, cafes, and museums as well as the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center. The PAC hosts tons of shows from concerts to musicals. Grab your fellow nurse friends and schedule a night out.
Other Appleton favorites include the Downtown Farmer's Market, which goes on year-round and features fresh produce, homemade crafts, food trucks, and live music. Every summer, Mile of Music takes over a full mile of downtown restaurants, coffee shops and bars, filling them with hundreds of bands and musicians for a full weekend. The best part is that you can go to Mile of Music for free, so go enjoy your time in Appleton without spending all of your hard-earned cash.
This is just a small sample of what Appleton has to offer. There is also great shopping, nearby Green Bay for Packer games, a huge Oktoberfest, Art on the Town, and more. Appleton's many parks offer fishing, swimming and boating in the warm summers and ice skating, hockey, and ice fishing in the white winters. The best part is Nurses PRN is right here if you need anything. Give us a call to see what's available in Appleton right now!
