RNFLOAT

A Float Registered Nurse is qualified to work in several areas of the hospital and it is normal to move from floor to floor, possibly within a single shift. Some Float Registered Nurse have regular shifts, some do not – this is dependent on the needs of the facility. A Float Registered Nurse must be flexible but also has more control over the hours they work.

Responsibilities

As a Float RN your responsibilities consist of:
  • Working during times of strangely heavy workloads.
  • Ability to take on the responsibilities of who call in.
  • Complete the job duties of the standard floor registered nurse without interruption.

Requirements

One year of experience as a Float RN within the past two years.
  • Active Nursing License in good standing.
  • Current BLS through American Heart Association.
  • Negative Drug Screen.
