Job Description

A Float Registered Nurse is able to perform in several areas of the hospital and it is common to move between floors, possibly during the same shift. Some Float Registered Nurse have standard shifts, some do not. This depends on what the facility needs. A Float Registered Nurse needs to be flexible but also has more control over when they work.

Responsibilities

As a Float Registered Nurse your duties consist of:


  • Helping during times of strangely busy workloads.

  • Ability to take on the responsibilities of nurses who are absent.

  • Complete the duties of the normal floor registered nurse without interruption.

Requirements

One year of experience as a Float Registered Nurse within the past two years.


  • Active Nursing License in good standing.

  • Current Basic Life Support through American Heart Association.

  • Negative Drug Screen.
