RNICU

ICU Registered Nurses must provide top end care for patients with life-threatening injuries. Intensive Care Unit RNs must have the ability to make quick and accurate decisions while staying composed during unforeseen, traumatic events.

Responsibilities

ICU Nurses responsibilities include:
  • Evaluating the progress of the patient.
  • Following the correct process if the patient's condition changes.
  • Helping physicians with procedures.
  • Making sure all medical equipment is functioning correctly while caring for patients.
  • Dispensing necessary medication in a fast-paced, high stress environment.
  • Providing emotional support while updating family members of current health status of the patient.

Requirements

One year of experience as an ICU Registered Nurse within the past two years.
  • Current Nursing License in good standing.
  • Current BLS through American Heart Association.
  • Negative Drug Screen.
