Job Description

The Cath Lab Nurse assists medical staff in the analysis and treatment of cardiac conditions. Cath lab nurses are responsible for preparing the patient for their procedures, and give physical and emotional support to the patient.

Responsibilities

As a Catheterization Lab RN your duties consist of:


  • Checking the patient’s vital signs before, during and after their procedure.

  • Giving and documenting medication.

  • Providing treatment when needed.

  • Helping the physicians perform several procedures such as angioplasties and stent placements.

Requirements

One year of experience as a Cath Lab RN within the past two years.


  • Current RN License in good standing.

  • Current BLS through American Heart Association.

  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
