Job Description

The Cath Lab RN assists physicians in the analysis and treatment of cardiac conditions. Catheterization lab nurses are responsible for preparing the patient for their procedures, and provide physical and emotional support to the patient.

Responsibilities

As a Catheterization Lab Nurse your duties consist of:
  • Monitoring the patient’s vitals before, during and after procedures.
  • Administering and documenting medication.
  • Providing treatment as necessary.
  • Helping the doctors perform various procedures such as angioplasties and stent placements.

Requirements

One year of experience as a Cath Lab Nurse within the past two years.
  • Current RN License in good standing.
  • Up to date Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
