Job Description

The Surgical Technician is responsible for the care of patients before, during and after their surgery. Surgical Technicians work in collaboration with the surgeon and other members of the medical team to ensure the procedure goes smoothly and the patient is getting the best care.

Responsibilities

As a Surgical Technician your responsibilities include:
  • Preparing the patients for their procedures and completing varying health assessments.
  • Giving pre and post-operative medications.
  • Working with the surgeon during the surgery with providing medical tools and constantly observing the patient.
  • Caring for patient’s wounds after their operation and prevent any complications.

Requirements

One year of experience as a Surgical Tech within the past two years.
  • Current RN License in good standing.
  • Up to date Basic Life Support through American Heart Association.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
