Minneapolis is the go-to spot for a travel nurse who doesn't want to make the choice between the fun of city life and the beauty of outdoor adventure. It truly is the perfect combination of the two. As the biggest city in Minnesota, Minneapolis has a plethora of museums, theaters, shopping, and dining. Minneapolis is also known for its music scene. You'll have to enjoy a night (or a few) off with your nurse friends exploring the city.
Minneapolis hosts events throughout the year where you can learn about the unique culture of your Midwestern home. The Holidazzle parade is an event that lasts all winter long and is filled with light-up costumes and unique spectacles. The May Day parade is a fun way to welcome spring after the Minnesota winter. On a travel nursing contract, events like this are the perfect opportunity to get out and enjoy the city.
Minnesota is the Land of 10,000 Lakes and Minneapolis is no exception. The city is surrounded by lakes that are used by residents and visitors all year long. In the warmer months, you can sun and swim on the public beaches or try kayaking, sailing, or canoeing if you're looking for adventure. Throughout the winter, festivals are held right on the frozen lakes. They also turn into speed-skating courses and skating rinks.
Minneapolis is a city known for its active inhabitants and beautiful changing seasons. On top of that, sports fanatics will be in good company. While on a contract, you're probably looking for some variety, right? That's exactly what the Twin Cities has to offer. Give Nurses PRN a call to find out what's available!
