Every traveling RN or Allied Health Professional has a checklist of their own when looking for a contract, and Neaska is one of those rare states that can check off those boxes for pretty much everyone. From nature lovers and adventure seekers to sports enthusiasts and city dwellers, there is some piece of the Cornhusker State for everyone.
Omaha tends to be one of the go-to cities in Neaska for a travel nurse or Allied Health Professional who prefer an urban setting. With several universities in the city, there are always new restaurants, bars, and museums to check out. Neaska is known for its steakhouses, so meat lovers should be sure to stop. The Old Market is the place to go for the best food in the city. Omaha dwellers and visitors enjoy weekly live music at Jazz on the Green and get local produce at the Omaha Farmer's Market. The city also has several unique parks such as Heartland of America Park, where you can check out a night time water show. Art enthusiasts will feel right at home among Omaha's many museums and galleries.
Lincoln is another popular city destination in Neaska, and at the heart of Lincoln (and all Neaska) natives is Huskers football. Travel nurses doubling as football fans, take advantage of your time off and see a game at Memorial Stadium.
If you travel in search of beautiful natural views and outdoor activity, this is the place for you to be. The landscape varies from plains to pine forests to badlands, so there is always a new view to discover. Hikers and history buffs can follow the Oregon Trail or the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail, and water bugs can canoe, kayak or tube down the Nioara River.
Neaska has something for every kind of travel nurse or healthcare professional. On top of that, its residents are known for being friendly and hospitable. If you're finding yourself checking off the boxes for your next contract, give PRN Healthcare a call!
