Job Description

The Telemetry Nurse is responsible for taking care of patients that must have special monitoring, frequently this includes patients recently released from the Intensive Care Unit.

Responsibilities

As a Telemetry RN your duties consist of:


  • Distributing prescribed medications and operating life measuring instruments.

  • Interpreting data produced from various medical equipment and act upon findings.

  • Providing updates to the patient and their family members about their condition.

  • Educating patients about the best ways to adjust to major lifestyle changes.

Requirements

One year of experience as a Telemetry Registered Nurse within the past two years.


  • Current Nursing License in good standing.

  • Current BLS through American Heart Association.

  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
