Stepdown Registered Nurses work with patients who have been seriously injured or ill and who are on the path to recovery. Stepdown Nurses help with a safe and smooth transition from the ICU to the general nursing floors, for both the patients and their families.
As a Stepdown Registered Nurse your duties include:
- Writing a care plan for the patient while working with other healthcare team members.
- Closely watching the patient’s care and make provisions to make sure they are stable.
- Preforming patient assessments (pre and post ICU care) and record results.
One year of experience as a Stepdown Registered Nurse within the past two years.
- Current RN License in good standing.
- Up to date Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
