The Psychiatric Nurse is in charge of providing health care for patients who are diagnosed with mental and behavioral illnesses. ResponsibilitiesAs a Psychiatric Registered Nurse your duties consist of:
Creating medication schedules for the patient and track the progress of the patient’s condition.
Teaching patients and their family members about the condition of the patient and the appropriate ways to handle their condition.
Giving emotional support and companionship for patients while maintaining a safe, and effective treatment plan.
RequirementsOne year of experience as a Psychiatric RN within the past two years.
Current RN License in good standing.
Up to date BLS through American Heart Association.
Negative Drug Screen.
