The Psychiatric Registered Nurse is responsible for providing care for patients who are diagnosed with mental and behavioral illnesses. ResponsibilitiesAs a Psychiatric RN your responsibilities consist of:
Creating medication schedules for the patient and keep track of the findings of the patient’s condition.
Teaching patients and their families about the patient’s condition and the proper ways to handle their condition.
Giving emotional support and companionship for patients while following a safe, and effective treatment plan.
RequirementsOne year of experience as a Psychiatric Nurse within the past two years.
Active Nursing License in good standing.
Current BLS from American Heart Association.
Negative Drug Screen.
