Job Description

Intensive Care Unit Nurses must provide top end care for patients with life-threatening medical conditions. Intensive Care Unit Nurses must have the ability to make rapid and accurate decisions while staying composed during unforeseen, traumatic events.

Responsibilities

Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurses responsibilities consist of:


  • Analyzing the progress of the patient.

  • Following the correct process if there are any changes in the patient’s condition.

  • Helping physicians with medical procedures.

  • Ensuring all medical equipment is functioning properly while caring for the patient.

  • Administering needed medication in a fast moving, highly stressful environment.

  • Providing emotional support while updating family members of current health status of the patient.

Requirements

One year of experience as an ICU Nurse within the past two years.


  • Active Nursing License in good standing.

  • Up to date BLS through American Heart Association.

  • Negative Drug Screen.
