Job Description

A Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse oversees the general care of infants and children with serious health troubles that require constant supervision. They play a critical role in managing any changes in the patient’s condition.

Responsibilities

As a PICU Nurse your responsibilities consist of
  • Distributing prescribed medications.
  • Doing patient checks.
  • Completing scheduled procedures as instructed by the physician.
  • Making sure that the patient’s emotional and physical needs are met.
  • Conducting physicals and testing for illnesses.

Requirements

One year of experience as a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit RN within the past two years.
  • Active RN License in good standing.
  • Current BLS through American Heart Association.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen.

Kansas offers tons of options for outdoor recreation to take advantage of during your travel assignment. Hikers and history buffs alike will head to the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail. If you prefer the water, head to one of Kansas's many lakes to do some boating or fishing. 

Kansas is a proud state with many fairs and festivals celebrating its heritage throughout the year. While you're there, head to Wichita's Jazz in the Woods to enjoy some live music in a beautiful outdoor setting or try some authentic Kansas City-style BBQ at the Johnson County Fair, a traditional county fair in every sense including a bakery contest, carnival, and the coronation of a rodeo queen.
