The OR Registered Nurse is responsible for helping surgeons in the operating room. Operating Room RNs will prepare the OR and the patient for the procedure and make sure that all equipment is sterile and operating properly.
OR Nurse duties include:
- Monitoring the well being of the patient before, during and after the operation.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgeons and hand instruments and supplies to them during operations.
- Preserving and logging all items needed for laboratory examinations.
One year of experience as an Operating Room RN within the past two years.
- Active Nursing License in good standing.
- Up to date Basic Life Support through American Heart Association.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
