Job Description

The Operating Room RN is responsible for assisting surgeons in the operating room. OR Registered Nurses will prep the room and the patient for surgery and make positive that all medical equipment is safe and working correctly.

Responsibilities

Operating Room RN duties consist of:


  • Assessing the health of the patient before, during and after the procedure.

  • Anticipate the needs of the surgeons and give instruments and supplies to them during operations.

  • Collecting and tracking the items needed for lab work.

Requirements

One year of experience as an Operating Room Nurse within the past two years.


  • Current Nursing License in good standing.

  • Up to date Basic Life Support through American Heart Association.

  • Negative Drug Screen.
