RNOR

The OR Nurse is responsible for working with surgeons in the operating room. Operating Room RNs will prep the OR and the patient for surgery and make certain that all equipment is safe and operating correctly.

Responsibilities

Operating Room Registered Nurse responsibilities include:
  • Assessing the health of the patient before, during and after the operation.
  • Anticipate what the surgeons need and give medical instruments and supplies to them during operations.
  • Collecting and labeling any items needed for lab work.

Requirements

One year of experience as an OR Registered Nurse within the past two years.
  • Current RN License in good standing.
  • Current BLS through American Heart Association.
  • Negative Drug Screen.
