The Operating Room RN is responsible for working with surgeons in the operating room. OR Nurses will prep the operating room and the patient for the procedure and make certain that all equipment is sterile and operating properly.
OR RN duties include:
- Assessing the well being of the patient before, during and after the procedure.
- Anticipate what the surgeons need and hand medical instruments and medical supplies to them during procedures.
- Gathering and labeling all items needed for lab work.
One year of experience as an OR Nurse within the past two years.
- Active RN License in good standing.
- Up to date BLS through American Heart Association.
- Negative Drug Screen.
