Job Description

The OR Nurse is responsible for aiding surgeons in the OR. Operating Room Nurses will prepare the operating room and the patient for surgery and make sure that all medical equipment is sterile and working properly.

Responsibilities

Operating Room Nurse responsibilities consist of:


  • Monitoring the well being of the patient before, during and after the operation.

  • Anticipate the needs of the surgeons and provide instruments and medical supplies to them during operations.

  • Preserving and tracking all items needed for lab work.

Requirements

One year of experience as an OR Registered Nurse within the past two years.


  • Active RN License in good standing.

  • Current Basic Life Support through American Heart Association.

  • Negative Drug Screen.
