The OR Registered Nurse is responsible for assisting surgeons in the operating room. Operating Room Registered Nurses will prepare the room and the patient for surgery and make sure that all equipment is safe and operating properly.
OR RN responsibilities include:
- Evaluating the well being of the patient before, during and after the operation.
- Predict what the surgeons need and hand instruments and medical supplies to them during operations.
- Collecting and labeling the items needed for laboratory examinations.
One year of experience as an OR RN within the past two years.
- Active Nursing License in good standing.
- Up to date BLS through American Heart Association.
- Negative Drug Screen.
