Job Description

The Operating Room RN is responsible for assisting surgeons in the operating room. Operating Room RNs will prep the OR and the patient for the procedure and make positive that all medical equipment is clean and working correctly.

Responsibilities

OR RN responsibilities consist of:
  • Monitoring the well being of the patient before, during and after the operation.
  • Predict the needs of the surgeons and give medical instruments and medical supplies to them during procedures.
  • Collecting and tracking the items needed for lab examinations.

Requirements

One year of experience as an OR RN within the past two years.
  • Current Nursing License in good standing.
  • Up to date BLS from American Heart Association.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
