The Operating Room Registered Nurse is responsible for helping surgeons in the operating room. OR Nurses will prepare the operating room and the patient for the procedure and make positive that all equipment is sterile and operating properly.ResponsibilitiesOR Registered Nurse duties include:
Evaluating the well being of the patient before, during and after the operation.
Anticipate the needs of the surgeons and hand instruments and medical supplies to them during procedures.
Gathering and logging all items needed for laboratory examinations.
RequirementsOne year of experience as an OR Nurse within the past two years.
Active Nursing License in good standing.
Current BLS through American Heart Association.
Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
