The Operating Room RN is responsible for helping surgeons in the operating room. OR Registered Nurses will prepare the room and the patient for the procedure and make positive that all medical equipment is clean and operating properly.
OR Nurse responsibilities include:
- Monitoring the health of the patient before, during and after the operation.
- Anticipate what the surgeons need and provide medical instruments and supplies to them during procedures.
- Preserving and logging any items needed for laboratory examinations.
One year of experience as an OR RN within the past two years.
- Current Nursing License in good standing.
- Up to date Basic Life Support through American Heart Association.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
