The Operating Room Nurse is responsible for helping surgeons in the OR. OR Registered Nurses will prepare the operating room and the patient for surgery and make certain that all equipment is sterile and operating correctly.
Operating Room Registered Nurse responsibilities include:
- Evaluating the well being of the patient before, during and after the procedure.
- Predict the needs of the surgeons and hand instruments and supplies to them during operations.
- Preserving and labeling all items needed for laboratory examinations.
One year of experience as an OR Nurse within the past two years.
- Current RN License in good standing.
- Current Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
- Negative Drug Screen.
