The OR RN is responsible for assisting surgeons in the operating room. OR Nurses will prep the room and the patient for surgery and make sure that all medical equipment is sterile and operating properly.
Operating Room RN duties include:
- Analyzing the well being of the patient before, during and after the operation.
- Predict what the surgeons need and provide medical instruments and supplies to them during operations.
- Preserving and tracking all items needed for lab work.
One year of experience as an OR RN within the past two years.
- Current Nursing License in good standing.
- Up to date Basic Life Support through American Heart Association.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
