The Operating Room Registered Nurse is responsible for helping surgeons in the operating room. Operating Room RNs will prepare the operating room and the patient for surgery and make certain that all medical equipment is safe and working correctly.

Responsibilities

Operating Room Nurse duties include:
  • Monitoring the well being of the patient before, during and after the operation.
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgeons and provide instruments and supplies to them during procedures.
  • Preserving and labeling the items needed for lab work.

Requirements

One year of experience as an OR Nurse within the past two years.
  • Active RN License in good standing.
  • Up to date BLS through American Heart Association.
  • Negative Drug Screen.
