Job Description

OR Pre-Op Registered Nurse take care of patients and their family members before their surgeries and procedures. Occasionally OR Pre-Op Registered Nurses will give pre-surgery medication as needed and help the doctor to get prepared.

Responsibilities

OR Pre-Op Registered Nurse duties consist of:


  • Making sure that safety precautions are followed and that medical equipment is prepared.

  • Evaluating patients prior to the surgery to diagnose any problems that could happen.

Requirements

One year of experience as a OR Pre-Op Registered Nurse within the past two years.


  • Active Nursing License in good standing.

  • Current Basic Life Support through American Heart Association.

  • Negative Drug Screen.
