Job Description

The most important priority for the Oncology Nurse is to deliver care for patients who are diagnosed with different stages of cancer. Oncology Registered Nurses also help patients that have a increased risk of getting the disease, and present their patients with preventative routines.

Responsibilities

As an Oncology RN your duties consist of:
  • Providing sympathy to patients while coaching them on their condition.
  • Administering chemotherapy and other critical medications to the patient.
  • Watching the patient’s physical and mental health and recording their progress.

Requirements

One year of experience as a Oncology RN within the past two years.
  • Active RN License in good standing.
  • Up to date BLS from American Heart Association.
  • Negative Drug Screen.
