Lexington is a great stop for sports enthusiasts to see a game at the University of Kentucky. It also features art museums and theaters if you plan to soak up some culture on your days off. 

Louisville has great restaurants and shopping. In the origin place of the baseball bat, you can explore the Louisville Slugger Museum. What draws the most tourists to Louisville year after year is the Kentucky Derby. Whether or not you're there during the Derby, make sure you stop at historic Churchill Downs racetrack.

Job Description

A Med/Surg RN performs a variety of duties from entry to discharge with a patient. Med/Surg RN’s work directly with patients and also may assist a physician with procedures. A Medical Surgical RN can step in and perform the duties of a charge nurse when needed.

Responsibilities

As a Medical Surgical RN your responsibilities include:


  • Handling patient admissions and assessments.

  • Distributing prescribed medications.

  • Logging patient care regarding procedures and test results.

  • Implementing doctors orders.

  • Review labs and other test results.

Requirements

One year of experience as a Med/Surg RN within the past two years.


  • Current RN License in good standing.

  • Current Basic Life Support through American Heart Association.

  • Negative Drug Screen.
