Travel nursing opens some pretty incredible doors such as the opportunity to live as a local in New York, NY. You could spend a lifetime in the world-famous city and not see everything there is to see, so you will definitely be busy on those days off from your nursing contract. With the NYC skyline as your backdrop, grab some nurse friends and get exploring.

New York is a cultural center of pretty much everything including food, fashion, art, history, finance, and much more, meaning that you can make yourself at home no matter what interests you. Of course, the city is chalk full of hidden gems and places to explore, but some of the most popular starting points include the Empire State Building, Times Square, the Statue of Liberty, and One World Trade Center, a memorial dedicated to September 11. There are tons of famous museums, art galleries, and theaters throughout the city, as well.

A travel contract is meant for experiencing somewhere new. One of the best ways to experience New York is to attend one of the many festivals held throughout the year celebrating everything from film to food to culture. There are parades, including the famous Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, for virtually every holiday. NYC is a shopping mecca, making it a great destination for nurses who like to indulge in retail therapy.

While travel nursing brings many responsibilities, one of your most important duties during a contract in New York will be to try as much as the city's amazing food as you can. From cheap eats like New York pizza, hot dogs, and cheesecake to world-famous restaurants, the Big Apple has it all.

The countless songs and movies dedicated to New York, New York is proof enough that it’s worth experiencing. To see what opportunities are available in this amazing city, give Nurses PRN a call!
