RNLTC

Long Term Care RNs usually work in healthcare facilities, convalescent homes, hospice or assisted-living centers. Long Term Care Nurses must be comfortable assessing patients, creating patient care plans, providing guidance and schedule treatments for the patients. A Long Term Care Nurse generally observes the work of a LPN.

Responsibilities

As a Long Term Care Nurse your duties consist of:
  • Monitoring symptoms and the patient's vital signs.
  • Documenting records for the facility.
  • Implementing care plans.
  • Supervising aides and assistants as they help patient's general needs.

Requirements

One year of experience as a Long Term Care RN within the past two years.
  • Active RN License in good standing.
  • Current Basic Life Support through American Heart Association.
  • Negative Drug Screen.
