Job Description

Long Term Care Nurses generally work in medical facilities, convalescent homes, hospice or assisted-living centers. Long Term Care Nurses need to be comfortable assessing patients, writing patient care plans, giving guidance and set up treatment schedules for the patients. A Long Term Care Registered Nurse typically oversees the work of a LPN.


As a Long Term Care Registered Nurse your responsibilities consist of:
  • Monitoring symptoms and the vital signs of patients.
  • Documenting records for the facility.
  • Carrying out care plans.
  • Supervising aides and assistants as they help patient's every day needs.


One year of experience as a Long Term Care Registered Nurse within the past two years.
  • Active RN License in good standing.
  • Current Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
  • Negative Drug Screen.
