If that's not your thing you could spend the day touring the famous Anheuser-Busch Brewery and enjoying some free samples on a day off from your travel contract.

Sometimes, while doing a nursing contract in a city, it's nice to get out and spend some time in nature. St. Louis's Forest Park is the place to go. The gigantic park contains zoos and museums of its own along with the chance to do some walking or hiking through the park or boating and fishing on the water. It's also a go-to ice skating spot in the wintertime.

Along with all of this, take time to go shopping and try one of the restaurants in the Delmar Loop, see the city from the Mississippi River on a riverboat cruise, or take in a performance at one of several performing arts venues. A contract in St. Louis promises an experience filled with endless opportunities to try something new, and that's one of the best parts of travel nursing.
