Job Description
Endoscopy Nurses provide assistance and care for patients going through endoscopic procedures. Endoscopy Nurses monitor the patient during the procedure and need to have the ability to immediately handle situations.
Responsibilities
As an Endoscopy Nurse your duties consist of:
- Helping the doctors by getting the patients ready for their procedures.
- Providing any needed medications.
- Assessing the patient prior to sedation.
- Monitoring the patient while under sedation to prevent and treat any problems.
Requirements
One year of experience as an Endoscopy nurse within the past two years.
- Active Nursing License in good standing.
- Current Basic Life Support through American Heart Association.
- Negative Drug Screen.
