Emergency Room Nurses provide care for patients that are experiencing life-threatening injuries or trauma. Emergency Room RNs need to be able to immediately identify life-threatening problems while remaining calm and professional.

Responsibilities

As an Emergency Room Registered Nurses your duties include:
  • Managing time and possessing ability to make quick, accurate assessments.
  • Making certain patients are in stable condition and managing any discomfort in an intense setting.
  • Giving medications while reviewing their records for allergies to prevent problems.
  • Quickly obtain vitals and other health samples if necessary.

Requirements

One year of experience as an Emergency room RN within the past two years.
  • Active Nursing License in good standing.
  • Current Basic Life Support through American Heart Association.
  • Negative Drug Screen.
