Travel nurses love San Diego for its beautiful weather and unique culture.  Although it's a large city, this Southern California location right along the Pacific coast has a laid back attitude that mirrors that of its many surfers. When you're unwinding from a busy shift at your travel contract, it's up to you whether you want to relax on a beach, take part in one of the many outdoor recreational activities, or enjoy the vibrant nightlife.

San Diego offers a variety of beaches, each with an identify of their own. When it's time to take a break from your assignment and relax, you can go to one of the beaches to try surfing, scuba diving, whale watching, and even jet packing (really!). Of course, you can just lie on the beach or go for a swim if you prefer a low key beach day. Picturesque La Jolla is a great place to see seals and sea lions at La Jolla Cove.

Being on a travel contract in San Diego, you'll get plenty of chances to explore the city. Check out Balboa Park, which includes over a dozen museums, the famous San Diego Zoo, and botanical gardens. San Diego has golf courses and parks filled with hills and trails perfect for rock climbing, biking, and hiking.

San Diego is the place to go if you want to have some fun with your next travel contract. Whether you're exploring the nightlife with your nurse friends or listening to the waves, you'll never have a day off where you feel like there's nothing to do. Give Nurses PRN a call if you're ready to make San Diego your temporary home!
